Selny | Delete your Selny account

In the app

1. Open Selny and go to your profile.
2. Open Settings and choose Delete account.
3. Enter your password to confirm.

On the web

1. Sign in at selny.io.
2. Open Settings and choose Delete account.
3. Enter your password to confirm.

If you can no longer sign in, email info@selny.io from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my Selny account", and we will delete it within 30 days.

What is deleted

Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone:

• Your name, username, email address, bio, profile and cover photos, phone number and social links are erased.
• Your devices are signed out and their push-notification tokens are removed.
• Your profile page disappears, and you no longer appear in follower lists, search or suggestions.

What is kept

Questions, answers and stories you posted stay in the conversations they belong to, so other people's threads stay intact, but they are no longer linked to your name or profile and show as coming from a deleted account. If you want any of them gone, delete them individually before you delete your account.

Database backups that still include your account are deleted as they expire.
