• Usage Information: We gather data on your interactions with Selny, including the questions and answers you view and your interactions with other users.
• Device Information: We may collect information about your device, including its type, operating system, and IP address.

We utilize the collected information for the following purposes:

• Service Provision: We use your data to provide, maintain, and enhance Selny, tailoring your experience on the platform.
• Communication: We may communicate with you, including sending account notifications or responding to your inquiries.
• Research and Analysis: We may use your information for research and analysis to improve the Selny platform.

Information Sharing

We are committed to safeguarding your personal information and follow these principles: Third-Party Marketing: We do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent. Legal Compliance: We may share your personal data with third parties when required to comply with legal obligations, protect Selny and its users' rights and safety, or enforce our policies.

Service Providers

We use a small number of providers to run Selny on our behalf. They process your information only to provide their service to us:

• Cloudflare and PlanetScale, to host the service and its database.
• Cloudinary, to store and deliver the photos you upload.
• Google Firebase, to send push notifications and measure how the app is used.
• Twilio SendGrid, to send account emails such as verification codes.

Selny does not show ads and does not sell your personal information.

Retention and Deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app or on the web, under Settings. When you do, your name, username, email address, bio, photos and contact details are erased immediately, and your devices are signed out. Questions, answers and stories you posted stay in the conversations they belong to but are no longer linked to you. See selny.io/delete-account for the details.

Security

We take comprehensive security measures to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your data. These measures include internal reviews of our data practices, robust security measures, and physical security precautions.
